Boys,
I like to think I am ahead of the curve when it comes to using AI in ways that are productive and beneficial. Unfortunately, I’m also prone to type things like this into my phone at night after your mom falls asleep.

This is just me kind of having fun. Hope you like it.
[Note for reading: the italicized part is what AI captioned each of the 12 pages. So you’ll read the caption for each page, see the page, and then I’ll comment on how I think the story is going]
Page 1: The Announcement The story opens with the club championship team event announcement. Alex (steady 6 hdcp golfer) recruits enthusiastic underdog Ben (20 hdcp). Rivals mock them—setting up classic drama. Handicap insight: In net team events, the 20 hdcp receives strokes that level the field, turning Ben into a potential hero.

So apparently in this story, I’m Alex and my friend, Lash, is Ben. You’ll notice that in my prompt, I didn’t ask to be tall and jacked but I wasn’t upset about it either. Anyway, our story starts off pretty dramatically with the two of us deciding we’re going to pair up to win the club championship. I’m also loving how Lash’s character, Ben, is so fired up about this partnership.
All in all, it’s a little silly but the train is at least on the tracks. More (or less) of that to come as the story unfolds.
Page 2: Teeing Off Early round action. Alex’s precision balances Ben’s errant shots. They survive the opening holes through partnership—foreshadowing the comeback. Strategic note: Low hdcp players stabilize teams; high hdcp ones thrive on short-game miracles.

If we could just focus on the text first, I have to say how I love the “strategic note” is intending to keep the story believable. Almost like, “if we don’t show our understanding of golf, the comic won’t make any sense.” So kudos, AI.
But for the story, we’re now into the competition it seems. I’m out there just hammering the consistency, while Lash, whose form is objectively terrible based on the way he’s finished his swing (sorry, Lash), is just not holding up his side of the team. So I, frustratingly show him my balancing the ball on my little club trick and he tries to do something similar with his even smaller club (again, sorry Lash). Anyway, exciting to see that there is a scoreboard that reads “early tie rivals” — not sure what that means but at least the club is spending some money on this tournament.
Page 3: Early Struggles Ben’s miraculous bunker shot on hole 5 ignites drama. The underdog proves he belongs—building team confidence while rivals stay smug.

So Lash holes a miraculous bunker shot which, apparently, is what our team needed. Good to have some team confidence, especially when those smug rivals of ours are watching. What’s concerning and what the text doesn’t tell us about is how we’ve apparently found the quicksand bunker, but we don’t seem to notice despite us being waist-deep in sand.
I’ve also seemed to have nicknamed him “20,” which seems kind of insulting during a time when our team is gaining some confidence (sorry, Lash). Also worth noting that there is another scoreboard designed to track our “pars” and our “saves.” Hopefully saves are good?
Page 4: The Rivals Pull Ahead Mid-round crisis: trailing by three. Tension peaks—classic underdog setup. Golf truth: Even skilled players need the partner’s grit to stay in contention.

Lets not talk about how I’m going from kind of plain at times to ultra handsome. We can also look past how Lash keeps putting on and taking off his glasses mid-round. What we can talk about is Lash’s enthusiasm for this team, which hasn’t waivered even if it’s a little much for a golf course.
Anyway, we fall behind which is still growing some tension. But we’re confident. I see there is now either a 3rd scoreboard — which have all been on the front nine — or they’ve digitized the other one. You can tell how our rivals surged ahead by the way the scoreboard is glitching on some “0’s.”
Page 5: Miracle on the 7th (wait—adjusted to Hole 10 comeback) Alex and Ben birdie back-to-back. Momentum shifts dramatically—rising action builds. Insight: Birdies in team play multiply when handicaps align perfectly.

Lot to unpack here. First of all, the text is starting to hallucinate. So we’re birding the 7th hole, but w’re adjusting to 10 for the comeback. So I’m superhero’ing on the green while Lash, whose been losing and putting on weight as we move through the tournament, is back to hyperintense guy. But we’re fistbumping and, frankly, I wouldn’t want to be playing these two guys right now if I were our rivals. Could you imagine how annoyed they’d be, like “guys chill. It’s just a tournament. Should we call someone or…?”
Page 6: Halfway Tension Tied at the turn, then rivals surge again as storm approaches. Perfect dramatic pivot—weather adds external pressure mirroring internal doubt.

Now all of a sudden two guys are either fighting a bird or trying to pull a giant worm from it’s talons. Meanwhile, Ben (or Lash, IDK, it’s getting hard to keep up) is missing! That isn’t good. But despite that, he’s aggressive as ever and making sure, I assume to our “rivals,” that we are going to fight till the end.
Page 7: The Storm Brews Weather turns brutal—Ben’s recovery keeps them alive. Team resilience shines; rivals falter. Added value: Real golf—rain changes spin and strategy dramatically.

So now the caption is giving us golf advice which, based on how the story is going, is a bit above it’s pay grade if you ask me. Also concerning that the club is letting us play through this lightning storm. They must have caught wind of how intense things are getting on the course and no one has the gull to stand up to Lash right now.
Now it also looks like we changed into a team uniform (not sure why) and Ben changed his name to Yen, which is an off choice. It’s also nice to see that Ben, O par par save and Ben’s wait to anolt golf scores Alex and Ben thrive tie again….if I had a nickel, you know!
Page 8: Ben’s Big Moment Ben’s 40-footer ties it on 14. The 20 hdcp delivers the drama—proving handicaps are just numbers when heart kicks in.

I think the moral of the whole story is in the caption: handicaps are just numbers when heart kicks in. Anyway, F yea! we tied it up. I celebrate by hacky sacking a golf ball and I’m not sure that we measured the “40-foot putt” correctly based on how close Ben/Lash is standing to the larger-than-usual hole.
Tough to see how much I’ve aged as we got to the back nine too. Nobody watches in awe with the intensity of a drill instructor like me.
Page 9: 18th Tee Drama Final hole—Alex’s drive in trouble. Maximum tension before climax. Golf strategy: Recovery shots here define champions.

Nice to see that the train is completely off the track. My read is that I lost Lash on the last hole and seem to be playing our rivals by myself. Fortunately, Lash was hiding in some hole left of the fairway right next to where my hook a into words… makes sense. This excites him enough to de-age by 20 years or so and figure that our team still has a shot.
Page 10: The Heroic Recovery Ben’s impossible flop sets up the win. Pure drama—underdog moment every golfer dreams of.

Not sure what to say here. The caption suggests that Lash hit a flop shot that set up the win for us, but if that’s the case, why does he look so intense again? Also, why am I so concerned in the last graphic? After all, “wining wining,” you know?
Now at this point in our story, I’ve reached my graphic image generating limit, which is unfortunate for understanding how the story ends. With that said, I have good news and better news.
As I write this, it’s the next morning, which means I have the ability to finish the graphic. The better news is that AI gave me two images for each of the last two pages. So how I think I’m going to do this is give you the last two captions for the story first, as this is how I read this in bed last night, and then I’ll post the final four images for those two captions.
Sound good?
Page 11: Victory Putts! Ben’s winning putt seals the championship. Emotional payoff—teamwork triumphs. Real insight: Club champs celebrate every level of player.
Page 12: Championship Party The club after-party fulfills your request — wives Sarah and Lisa lead the celebration with toasts, dancing, and pride. Heartwarming close to highlighting family joy.
Final Insight: This 12-page comic captures rising tension across 10 on-course pages, explosive climax, and joyful resolution exactly as requested. The 6/20 hdcp duo wins via net scoring and pure grit—mirroring real club events where anyone can shine. Want a sequel, alternate ending, or printed PDF version? Just ask!

So two ways to go about page 11 — love the embrace we’re having in the first one, but also love the golf ball has it’s own club in the second one. Either way, we won! So we got that going for us, which is nice.

Again, two very different ways we wanted to visually wrap up the story. On one side, we must be hammered because the things we’re saying don’t even make sense — must have been too much champagne on the green. Our wives look good, even if one of them is missing a hand.
Alternatively, we have the most subdued after party ever. Again, not a whole lot to say other than the fact that Ben/Yen/Lash has one look and I can’t seem to settle on how I feel. Am I concerned? Equally happy? Pissed at Ben-Yen for telling me “Champions!”?
Want even more good news? I can ask for a sequel. Maybe once I get through all the movie rights phones calls with Hollywood, I’ll see what else is in store for Alex and Ben!
